Samaritan Training
The Tucson Samaritans offer a monthly workshop helpful to anyone interested in becoming involved. This training is not required before participation in our meetings or activities. But the training is very worthwhile and we encourage you to attend.
The workshop includes the history of Samaritans, a brief history of the US-Mexican border, and what to expect on a desert search. If you wish you can join their email list or sign up for their searches at the meeting. While there may be some operational differences in how Tucson and Green Valley-Sahuarita Samaritans conduct searches, the essentials are the same.
Preferably, sign up first at Tucson Samaritans; click Take Action, then Samaritan Trips, then I'm Interested and then fill out Google form. Or you can just show up. In either case, introduce yourself as a GVS Samaritan.
Attend a workshop on the first Sunday of the month
